More than 300 Pech River Valley citizens attended the two-day gathering, an effort to build a sense of pride in the community and make villagers aware of counter-improvised explosive device measures and the Voice of the Pech radio station.

To spark additional interest, the gathering hosted a cricket tournament between the top two teams in the valley.
