Colition delivers life support to Barge Matal ANP |

Coalition Soldiers from 2/503 Parachute Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team planned and coordinated for the delivery of over 26,000 pounds of much needed food, winter clothing and ammunition for the Barge Matal Afghan National Police. Major General Alim, the Central Regional Commander for the Afghan National Police, expressed his gratitude for the air lift support. The mission was not only a huge success logistically, but also gave the community of Barge Matal a greater since of security knowing that the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is supporting the Afghan National Police and the people of Afghanistan.
Soldiers from HHC and Fusion Company 2/503 prepare a sling load package that would deliver over 20,000 pounds of much needed food, winter clothes and ammunition to the Barge Matal ANP.
2/503 soldiers SSG Friend (Fusion), SSG Gritman (HHC), SPC Kyler (HHC), and LT Keen planned and conducted the sling load operations.
A CH-47 hauls over 26,000 pounds of supplies to the Barge Matal ANP.
