Ali Shing District, Laghman Province: Today while delivering school supplies, several teachers and school children along with Coalition and Afghan National Army forces,were attacked by insurgents. The insurgents fired several Rocket Propelled Grenades, AK 47s and PKM machine guns from hidden locations while the teachers and students were unloading a delivery of books, pencils, paper, desks, chairs and other essential supplies for the local school. The soldiers rushed the teachers and students to the nearest safe location for protection and drove the insurgents off. Miraculously, no one was injured although one of the trucks carrying supplies was damaged by an RPG.
