BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan (August 25, 2008) – A Coalition helicopter made a precautionary landing in the Sabari District, Khowst province earlier today.
The helicopter was preparing to attack an enemy mortar site near the Sabari District Center when a tail rotor blade struck the ground.
The pilot successfully landed the aircraft with no injuries.
The helicopter has minor damage and the site is currently secured by Afghan and ISAF forces.
