BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan - Members of the Afghan National Police from Ghazni Province were brought to a Coalition medical facility for treatment Jan. 24 after being wounded in Ghazni District, Ghazni Province during a Coalition operation.

"From the time I got injured to the time I got to the hospital, [Coalition forces] have treated me excellent," said Ahmaid-Naheer Anwary through a translator. Anwary is one of the police who was brought to the hospital.  "I thank you for the treatment ... I thank you as a police officer."

Medical staff at the Coalition facility here worked throughout the day to aid the wounded policemen.  The wounds are not life threatening.

It is still unclear how the policemen were wounded as insurgents were engaging Coalition forces.

The Ministry of the Interior has sent a delegation to Ghazni to look into the incident and Coalition forces are cooperating in the government inquiry.
