ANSF, Coalition forces kill 5 militants in Oruzgan province

KABUL, Afghanistan – Afghan National Security Forces and Coalition forces Friday killed five militants in Shaheed District, Oruzgan province.
ANSF and Coalition forces began searching a compound while conducting a foot patrol. As they entered the compound, militants engaged them with automatic weapons. ANSF and Coalition forces responded with small-arms fire, killing five militants.
ANSF and Coalition forces also discovered two improvised explosive devices on the compound. They neutralized the IEDs on site.
No ANSF, Coalition forces or civilian casualties have been reported.
